Under the canopy
The main quartet sits beneath a timber canopy, screened from the midday sun and the summer rain. Tournament glass, cushioned turf, light that stays kind all day.
Opening soon · Parkwood, Gold Coast
Six courts under the palms, a pool at the net's edge and a lounge that runs on golden hour. A new home for padel on the Gold Coast.
The club
Parkwood Padel Club brings the calm of a Balinese resort to the pace of the world's fastest growing sport. Timber, breezeblock and deep green courts sit low among the palms; between matches there is a pool to fall into and shade worth staying for.
We are building it now, in the green belt of Parkwood. Everything on this page is a faithful preview; we will trade it for photographs the day the last palm goes in.
Slow mornings. Fast rallies. Long evenings. A club that runs on golden hour, not on the clock.
The courts
The main quartet sits beneath a timber canopy, screened from the midday sun and the summer rain. Tournament glass, cushioned turf, light that stays kind all day.
Open-air courts set into the planting, walled in breezeblock and overlooked by palms. The Gold Coast climate does the rest.
Two singles courts for the purest form of the game. Half the players, twice the ground to cover.
Low-glare floodlights and warm garden lighting keep the courts open long after sunset.
Beyond the court
Finish a match, cross the deck, fall in. The pool anchors the club's social life, with loungers in the shade and towels the colour of the courts.
Behind it, the lounge: rattan light, linen cushions and a long bench built for third sets that turn into long evenings. Coffee before work, something colder after.
